ANIMAL WING RECORDS
The origins of Animal Wing Records was inspired from the necessity of cheap band rehearsal space. Our landlord offered a heavily discounted room which was tucked away in the decommissioned animal wing of the human centrifuge building, deep in the bowels of the former Naval Air Development Center.Walking down the pitch-black hallways, large steel tie-down rings protruded intermittently from the concrete floor, leading to a windowless room with zero air conditioning and no heat. A massive industrial incinerator and rows of abandoned animal cages were our only neighbors.It was cold, brutal, and completely isolated - the ultimate high-volume sanctuary for loud amps, heavy riffs, and zero noise complaints.That concrete room established the DNA of how we operate today. Founded in Pennsylvania, Animal Wing Records carries that same unfiltered, industrial DIY spirit forward - pressing heavy music on our own terms.

Forged in the shadow of the Cold War space race, Chimpgrinder’s original sessions were recorded inside an concrete cell in the decommissioned animal wing of the Johnsville Naval Air Development Center centrifuge facility.Originally tracked using unorthodox DIY recording methods, the upgraded mix and mastering elevates the band's Sabbathian riffs and unyielding sludge grooves into the definitive Chimpgrinder experience.An exclusive piece of band history - these raw early tracks complement the 2022 Remasters and are exclusive to this release.
